Genora

Before you start

Genora screens both partners' genetic data across 134 carrier genes and 10 reproductive markers to identify shared findings worth reviewing before pregnancy. The raw-file analysis runs locally in your browser. Here's what you'll need.

1 What you'll need

  • Your genetic data file A raw data export from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, or similar. Usually a .txt or .csv file you can download from your testing provider's website.
  • Your partner's genetic data file Same format. You can do this together — side by side — or one at a time. Both files stay on your device.
  • About 10 minutes Upload takes a few seconds. The screening runs in your browser and results appear immediately, with clear limitations noted alongside the findings.

2 What to expect

  • A carrier screening summary Structured results showing whether any screened conditions need follow-up, plus what to discuss with a genetic counsellor.
  • 134 carrier genes plus 10 reproductive markers Covering 116 autosomal recessive conditions including cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, and SMA.
  • Actionable next steps What to discuss with a genetic counsellor, which findings may merit clinical confirmation, and relevant NHS resources.
